Delighted with location!! Less than 10 min drive to disney[msnwink] As for sparing a thought for owner with all due respect I am on holiday and have left my financial head and all my work life brings with it behind. Dont mean to sound heartless but I am sure the owner knows whither or not the deal offered to him was financially feasable? I certainly never paid peanuts nor anything near to peanuts for this holiday so yes I feel very fortunate for the lovely villa we have but would not have expected to not have a nice villa. Will post photos when I get home right now I'm after a glorious day spent at Hollywood studios I'm off out for dinner[beer]

DLB GOUROCK- It's a horrible feeling when you first get back isn't it?[msnsad] It always takes us at least a week to get the work head back on!But I resolve myself to the thoughts that if I didn't work I wouldn't be able to get to Florida the following year[msnwink] We're all of to bed another exhausting but fantastic day!!

glad you love the location, I always champion Lake Wilson I think it is a little gem of a place, but I am biased I suppose[msnwink]. Sad thing is though if you did want to book directly with the owner for next year you couldn't do it through this site as there are no longer any Lake Wilson Preserve owners advertising on any of the OV family of sites[V]

We do have lots of other villas in very similar locations though, so I'm sure they will be able to find somewhere that more than suits them from our sites [msnsmile].

Of course there are lots of other great villas on these sites but just wanted to point out if someone did particularly want Lake Wilson then they would have to search elsewhere.
This thread did venture into the 'better booking directly' avenue earlier on[msnsmile]. I always feel it is better to book directly with an owner I just think it is sad (as an ex Lake Wilson owner) that there are no villas from that particular estate advertised anywhere on the OV family of sites anymore.[msnsad]

I know you did - I just wanted to say that perhaps another community would be equally as good and would suit the guest absolutely fine [msnsmile].

We'd love to have more Lake Wilson villas on the site but there are none near the top of the (lengthy) Waiting List so it's not an option.

Glad it has worked out well for you, others haven't been so fortunate when they have taken "pot luck" same as with hotels that are allocated on arrival, it is just that, depending on what is available. Just think though how much more fun your holiday planning would have been if you hadn't had to wonder from June to September, what and where you would be located. You could have picked the home with the exact facilities you wanted and had the local knowledge all sorted as to where to eat etc.

Hi steph, Have to say we didn't have any real worries about the accomodation we would recieve we did after all go for the "executive" choice so we always knew what facilities and standard we were looking at, the only real question was where it would be, we knew we were going within a 20min drive of disney but ofcourse didn't know exact location. It didn't halter our excitement or planning in the slightest. We travel 4-5 times a year (not to Florida) and have never done the AOA before but have frequently booked both packages and diy so neither hold presidence over the other. That said however we are already planning our next trip to Florida for next year and will most definately give the villa owners on this site our first chance of business. We never skimp on quality for our holidays but naturally we have a budget like everyone else and for this trip for everything we wanted a package deal was the best. It certainly hasn't put me off booking a AOA in future for our desired standard. Off to bed now its Clearwater for us tomorrow for the 1st time woo hoo[msncool]
