Hi new to site going to florida in 10 days and i need help
1 car hire who except visa electron or prepaid mastercard
2 do we buy tickets out there or order online to pick up when we arrive
3 which insurance is best for car hire
4 take dollars or use cards

Look at the link above these forums for car hire - insurance is included and on one of them you dont need to leave a credit card swipe.

Order tickets from the link above you can get them delivered to UK, US address or pick up. They are real tickets not vouchers.

Hi Taf, I booked and paid for my car through this site with budget, I paid for it using my solo card,and had no problems,I also bought my park tickets from here but as the offices are based in florida i had to get a pre paid credit card everything was fine with that one to, As for the insurance ive opted for the silver as only me and my hubby will be driving,if theres more than 2 drivers then you need the gold,with the silver option you pick the car up with a full tank and you bring it back full, with gold you get to bring it back empty,As for currency i always take cash and card,

Don't let the car hire people on the desk at the airport try to sell you anything extra - they do try !

Hi Taf, Takeing your queries in order:
1. Arrange your car hire before you go... (this site is good, reliable & fairly priced). If you wait & buy car hire at the airport when you arrive in Orlando, you will pay through the nose for the privilige, they've got you & they know it....
2. Again, get park tickets before you go... They're cheaper this end !!! It's possible to get (usually only 2) tickets a lot cheaper 'over there', but you'll be tied into a condo 'preview'; about 4 hours of brain numbing hard sell !!!
3. Car hire is often quoted with what would be 3rd party insurance over here & decent insurance is sold as a high-cost extra. No car hire co. will let you drive without the equivalent of fully comp. You need SLI (supplimentary liability) & CDW (Collision damage waiver)- often under differing names! - on top of 3rd party. If bought from here, these insurances are included.
4. Personal preference is to use cards, the exchange rate is usually slightly better. You will need a small amount of cash to pay road tolls & tips....

Car hire from here. Don't let them try to sell you anything else at the desk. Tickets from here, best price we've found. Currency we prefer some cash, some tc's so that the change tops up your cash without it costing anything. A lot of people don't like them anymore but works for us. If using them make sure they are dollar tc and you can use them like cash and we take a card for bigger purchases (Nationwide - although they have started charging now was still the best one last time I checked) Currency is down to personal preference as there is so much choice now.
