    flight time change

I just received an email from netflights to advise that our outbound flight times have been majorly changed. Although its not just the time they have added different stops as well!

We were meant to be leaving Glasgow at 6am to Manchester then Manchester to Orlando and arrive at about 6pm..

    Now its

Glasgow 9am to London Heathrow then to Philadelphia then to Orlando and we get in at nearly midnight?!?!

Do you know were we stand with this? Do you think they would give us a free upgrade or something?

    Lynne.

I would have thought that would class as a major change and they should allow you to cancel if you choose and then rebook. I would contact hem and see if there are an direct flights from Heathrow or Gatwick as that is what you had booked.

Who are you flying with is it american company if it is with DELTA you may be able to ring them in London and ask them can you have a different route or times ,It seems a lot to ask you to change planes twice .
We are flying with Virgin this time as DELTA had not got the same day to fly from JFK or ATLANTA and had top stay over for one day and fly out the next day .
Delta has cut lots on internal flights a few weeks ago so not as many plane in the air at the moment .
Any way give it a try and phone them and see what they have to say they are very helpful if you speak to them on the phone ,They may say you have to go through NETFLIGHTS ( Previously AIRLINE NETWORK ) they are in PRESTON LANCS under Globel Group .
    Good luck

We just had a flight time change with Delta, which left us with 45 minutes to clear immigration in Atlanta and get to our next flight!! I called them and they were happy to change our connecting flight - they would have changed our Heathrow flight to the earlier one if we had wanted.

I would give your airline a call and see what they can do.

    Thanks for all your help...

Its just the outbound flight that has changed. It does state it is a major flight change so i should be able to change it if i wanted?

I would like to keep the coming home flight the same, but i have found a direct flight from Manchester, do you think they would change the outbound and keep the return flight the same? I live in scotland but i dont mind travelling to manchester to get a direct flight.

Im trying to phone them now buts its been ringing for ages!

    Hi,

We booked with Netflights for our flights in April and travelled with US Airways. Outbound was the Glas/Heathrow/Phil route and on the way back Orlando to Manchester on what looked like a direct flight however there was a Philadelphia stop. The two flights from Orlando to Philadelphia then Philadelphia to Manchester used the same flight number.

Hope you get hold of them.....

Hay sjp88_8 how did your outbound flight go? Did it all go smoothly and get your luggage at the end?

    Hi,

Flights ran like clockwork both on the way out and back. Because Philadelphia is your first stop is the US you have to clear immigration and also collect your bags. You collect your bags walk through customs and put them straight back onto a conveyor belt.

We had bottled water in our hand luggage which if we had not packed into our checked luggage it would have been taken from us when we went through security again so if you have duty free get it in your cases to avoid losing it.

The longest wait we had was at Manchester for the Glasgow flight home. We arrived at Manchester about 9am and the flight up the road was not till 1pm. Asked if there was anything early but the 1pm was the first BMI flight of the day on a Sunday.
