Wedding present for second time round?

Our friends (60+) are finally tying the knot in July, after being together for nearly 30 years!!!

They say they have no wedding list as they don't need anything.....but we would obviously like to mark the occasion and are trying to get some ideas.

Anyone had a similar scenario? Or any thoughts on what we might get them? I don't want to go with a plant as we gave her a lemon tree for her 60th birthday, and a couple of other friends gave them rose bushes, etc.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

When friends of ours in their 60s got married recently they asked for a donations to their favourite charity. Our niece also did this too as they had everything they needed for their home.

Hi Amanda, The Barefoot Countess always says as you get older you should give something that gets used up in a
night. Therefore, some special food in a hamper, good wine or champagne, theatre tickets or a night away at a good hotel or a voucher for a meal out.

When some friends got married 'later in life' we all got together and bought them a long weekend in New York with some theatre tickets for a Broadway show and a helicopter ride around Manhattan.

Tea for 2 at The Ritz or somewhere similar. We enjoyed that as a gift a few years ago.

When friends of ours decided to get married after living together for 15 years. A group of us paid for a 5 day break in London including tickets to see a West End show.

The Ritz Tea for Two is within your budget. We certainly thought it was a very thoughtful present. Did not need any dinner that evening though!!!!
