Forum Update - Avatars

Just to let everyone know that we have had a change in policy and now no longer allow avatars on the forums that are hosted on external sites. Only avatars hosted on the forums (www.orlando-guide.info) will be displayed against your posts.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause a small subset of users with externally hosted avatars, but having externally hosted images is a potential security loophole in the forums that we'd like to permanently close. It's not something for anyone to be concerned about, we're just being pro-active rather than re-active [msnsmile].

John - it's worth adding too that modern browsers block cross-site images as a default (for exactly the security reasons you describe). I noticed it a while ago when I upgraded my browser that half the avatars didn't display.
