We took a "disposable" one with us - it was £2.99 from Lidl and on the way out it travelled in our "spare" suitcase (the one that would be full of new clothes on the way home), and our logic was that if it got lost on the plane home - so what?

In fact it survived and is now in our son's car to make it easier for him to help out with the logistics of moving children from school >> brownies >> swimming !!![msnwink]

There is no legal requirement for a 6 year old to use a booster seat in Florida, so it's down to your personal preference.
