Hello from Newcastle

Hi,

I'm Dave from Newcastle upon Tyne. have registered on the site quite recently after getting invaluable information from it (and park tickets) in advance of our holiday this year.

This will be my third visit to the sunshine state. My first visit was aged around 17 with my parents and brother in 1989. It was my first visit to the states and we stayed on International drive. I just remember feeling as if I was in a dream for the whole fortnight.

I returned in 2000 with my parents, my brother and my wife & 2yr old boy - we stayed in a villa in Kissimmee. Another fantastically enjoyable experience made even moreso by great company and home comforts in the villa.

After a few sunshine holiday in the Balearic Islands over the last few years we decided to skip a year last year and save for Orlando. Me, my wife and my two boys (6yrs & 11yrs) will be heading out there exactly a month today and are booked into a villa in Hampton Lakes. I'm just as excited this year as I was all those years ago in 1989 - particualtly to see the look of magic on my boys faces when we visit the parks.

Welcome to the forum Dave. you are going to have a great time (again) and the boys are a great age to enjoy all things Disney. The villa will be the icing on the cake for them with a pool to jump into after a hot, tiring day at the parks. Good way for them to work off the excitement before bed.

Hi,

I've heard of Murton but don't know it at all.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. The doom & gloom of my weekend due to my team (Newcastle Utd) being relegated was short lived when I realised that it's now less than 3 weeks til we're off!

I hope the weather has improved by then as I hear it's been a little wet lately!
