    Relaxation/Pampering

    Hiya

I wonder if you can help me with a query. We are going to Florida/Orlando in May 2010 and I would really like to spend a day being pampered (nails/waxing/massage/hair etc). It's the only time that I will be able have to myself as I am normally looking after everybody else
Does anyone know of a place I can get booked in that is reasonably priced I wouldn't like to give my husband a cardiac before we get home

Good for you, it is nice to have some time to yourself. Me and my daughter go to a place at Mall at Millenia and have a lovely time. I had my hair cut and even 1 year on after many hair cuts, I still get comments, also had my nails done whilst daughter had a facial. After all of that the name has gone from my mind (senior moment). Will ask my daughter the name and get back to you.

It really depends where you are staying as I'm sure you don't want to be travelling miles. If you are staying on the west side then I can thoroughly recommend Millennia Nail & Spa at the Orange Lake Plaza where Publix is. I dropped my husband off at Orange County National to play golf after he'd told me to go and get whatever I wanted done. Manicure and pedicure is excellent, waxing equally good but seems expensive compared to home though. had the luxury pedicure done at Christmas - fabulous! However, for his last game of golf he packed me off to The Loop to do some shopping for drapes and cushions, after an hour had spent $380 and decided to call it a day, so it was much cheaper at the Spa!

I have heard good words about a salon at Celebration and also the one at the Gaylord Palms, but again these are all the Western side of Disney.

I'm sure others will recommend other salons for different areas.

Without sounding too much like a bloke, does waxing really come under the relaxing / pampering description, it looks like pain to me[msnwink]
