Norma, I have to agree, it was not the lead story on the local news this morning and I haven't seen any signs of panic. I was in Florida Mall this morning, busy for a Saturday and when we went to Disney on Thursday nobody was wearing a mask, contrary to what I had heard reported either in the UK press or TV.

The sad thing is that if the WHO keep reacting like this, when the serious one really turns up nobody will take any notice as they have cried wolf to often.

I don't know whether this is over hyped or not, i'm not that informed to make a decision.

    But consider this:-

The US is in an economic meltdown as is most countries.

Florida's main source of income is tourist's money.

Would the powers that be, want Disney workers (and other parks) wearing masks, scaring the punters away?

The time to worry is when EVERY Disney employee's wearing costume so you can't see whether they're wearing a mask.....
Be interesting to see Donald on bag search & Minnie sweeping !!

If we were flying on holiday this year we would still go but the media coverage is very diverse. I have heard that a lot of the deaths in Mexico were not as result of Swine Flu. It's not that bad as we only have 12 (? this varies depending what you are reading/watching). This is terrible as there are this many cases. It will come in waves so the worst is yet to come. The worst is over. Personally I think carry on with life; take precautions (handwashing, throw away tissues etc) and what will be will be. Incidentally a girl a few miles away has been diagnosed and apparently the media are camped out on her doorstep. Poor girl is only 12 and really doesn't need that.

Well to be honest had I not read the Brit papers I would of thought little of it its not been in the news much around my part of the world or not the news I read and watch..It would never put me off flying.. as someone ill for 3 months with the 68 outbreak..then for another 3 months with a flu got from a lady in my care after she was on a bird farm in Asia..I feel I can take most things on the chin..
