Had to cancel our holiday this year!

Me, the wife, and my parents had a 3 week holiday booked this year for Novemebr staying in Disney All Stars.

It was something that me and the missus have always said we wanted to do, 3 weeks away so we booked it for this year.

But we have just had to cancel it, as the missus is 3 months pregnant, due at the end of october! so its not a good idea to take a new born halfway round the world!

We are pushing the holiday back to next year as well so when baby is 1, it will be gong to disneyworld for three weeks!

another shame is that we cant spend loads of money on baby disney stuff in downtown orlando! Oh well!

Congratulations on your good news even if your timing wasn't the best [msnwink]

Instead of staying at a Disney resort next year why not stay at one of the lovely villas advertised on these sites? I'm sure you will find it far easier with a tiny baby than staying in a cramped hotel room. Many villas supply everything you need for a baby to make your life even easier, plus you'll have loads more money to spend on baby Disney stuff.

I'm sure you'll be able to pick up masses of tips on here too about travelling with a little one.

    [cheers]

[cheers][/quote]My wife has stayed in a villa before on a florida trip, and she said that staying in a disney hotel is far superior.
So that is what we have always done.
I love staying in a Disney Hotel as well, as you are always in Disney and keeps the magic going 24/7.
Plus the rooms in Allstars are fairly big, 2 king size beds, or if you can get one of the family rooms they are even bigger. We had one a few years back, it has 2 toilets, kitchen, bedroom and living room. And it was only me and the wife in it, my parents had another one next door!

Got to disagree with that one. Fair enough the Disney Premium hotels are really nice but the allstars is no way superior to a good quality villa. We stayed their sometime ago and moved out after 3 days. It is Disney Budget hotel and not even onsite! My wife hated it, we moved to the Grand Floridian which was wonderful but very expensive.
Problem with hotel rooms is when you have children, what kind of holiday is it when the kids are in the same room as you? No fun at all.
I am not anti hotel, we do enjoy a nice hotel as a couple. But what you will pay for 2/3 nights in a nice hotel will buy you a week in a good quality villa.

    Congratulations on your good news.

Have to agree with other comments said on here. I adore Disney, have stayed at many of the WDW hotels (though not All Stars), and to be honest, with a small child and 4 adults I really don't think you can compare any Disney accommodation to a villa. The space and ammentities in most villas these days and quality available through these sites, not to mention the convenience and cost, should be considered seriously.I would really give it some thought once the new addition arrives.
Best wishes what ever you decide[8D]
