Pirates Dinner Adventure

I've just joined the forum and have a holiday booked for September. Apologies if this is old ground, but I have several area's in which I would appreciate advice over the next few months.

The first one is with regards the Pirates Dinner Adventure Show. If there were other forum members who have been, I would appreciate your views on it.

In particular, whether it would appeal to a Pirate mad, vegetarian 4 year old and his family?

Is it better to book tickets in Florida or before we go?

We have been thinking of going to this one also, Nick, and we also have a veggie son so I had a hunt around and there is a web site at www.orlandopirates.com. The meal is beef and chicken but they do do a vegetarian option. The price is $46.47 ( adult) and $28.57 ( child) including tax and, if you book on line, you get a $4 off voucher.

The price to book here through Keith Prowse is £24 adult and £17 child. Work it out yourself as I dont have a calculator handy.

Pirates Dinner Adventure recently completed a two-year, $250,000 revamping and renovation of the staging, dining, costuming and show dynamics. The Adventure is staged aboard a reproduced-to-scale 18th century Spanish galleon, complete with five to 75-foot (1.5- to 22.75-meter) tall masts. We went to the show a few years ago, we are all vegie, my daughter was 4 then and enjoyed the show, it was fast and bright and lots of shouting just what a 4yr old likes The food was ok,

Just wondering Nick (or anyone else reading this post!) whether you went to the Pirates Dinner Adventure on your vacation. We off to Florida v soon and it may be a treat for our 4 year old boy.

Was it worth the entrance fee money?
