    wedding query

Hi, not sure if this has been covered before but I just wanted to make sure. My daughter is getting married in December 2010, she has booked the wedding to take place at 11.00am with a small reception afterwards. We are planning to all go back to the villa we have hired(from this site of course!)[msnsmile2] for some (more) eats and drinks. As its such an early wedding we are thinking of booking a resturant for an early evening meal and then maybe wander round Disney marketplace. My question is, would we be allowed to wander round still dressed in our wedding finery ? Also my daughter thinks she has read somewhere that you are not allowed admission into the Disney parks wearing wedding clothes. We were thinking of maybe going in to watch one of the firework displays.

I have read that you are not allowed to wear wedding outfits into the Disney theme parks. I saw this on a Disney wedding planning site -

I also think you cannot wear wedding clothes in the Parks, that is why you see couples wearing a pair of ears with a veil attached and a top hat. The day we went to MK the couple as guest of honor for the day were from the UK and were wearing theses.

The only one that was allowed to walk through Disney in wedding gear was a couple who had their wedding in the Disney itself, obviously you pay a premium for that as they supply a couple of cast members to walk along side the couple.

I am not sure if they would stop you walking through Downtown disney though or even celebration as you dont pay an entrance fee for that. I will check for you though as we are going out in Dec/Jan this year.

You can certainly walk around Celebration in wedding gear as my son and daughter did after their wedding 3 years ago. They got married in the Disney wedding pavilion; we all had champagne and cake at the Grand Floridian and then went to Celebration for photos and a meal. We got some lovely pictures by the lake.

Thank you Julie for that info, they are getting married at the Swan hotel and having cake and drinks after the wedding. We are thinking of having everyone come back to one of our villas afterwards for some (more) drinks and nibbles[msnsmile. Its the evening that we are debating about really as we want to pick somewhere that will cater for a few fussy eaters, also somewhere which isn't too formal or expensive[msnwink]
