Have a look at this link for bike hire, www.orlandobikerental.com We have hired bikes and cycled along the West Orange Trail which is a disused train track that has been converted for walking and cycling so is free of any traffic and safe for novice cyclists. The hire rates are very reasonable and they will supply are equipment needed. We had a great afternoon and can thoroughly recommend it.

Thanks for that, checked out the page and its just what we are looking for, a nice change from the parks. It looks a beautiful place. What time of year did you cycle? Its Sept / Oct for us, hope its not to hot at that time of year. Its nice to find different things to do.[clap][

Hi Shona

It was last March when we hired the bikes, but I reckon morning would be better than the afternoon. There are plenty of places to stop for a drink, but we stopped in Winter Garden for something to eat and then carried on our way. We plan to use the trail again on our next visit. Have you thought about hiring c kayak or canoe at Wekiva Springs - another great alternative to the theme parks.
