Day eight and nine.
Thursday and Friday.
Finally managed to get my sleep pattern back under control and managed to stay in bed until 8am, Mr M wondered who the hell was in bed with him when he woke up, I’m normally long gone, snoozing on the sofa!
Decided to take it easy today so drifted off to the Timberland shop to buy Mr M some more shorts that he can’t possibly live with out, then down to Boggy Creek for a boat ride.
When we arrived, there was only us waiting, it was hot, sunny and flat calm.
Our boat driver came out, he had move to Florida recently from New York, he was telling us the only animals he saw whilst growing up were pigeons, and how much he loved the creek. We were only his second trip out. A few more people began to drift in and we ended up a group of 16. Excellent tour, basking in the sun looking at the wild life, sitting next to the man love….and a darn big gator….this guy is a bit keen, and took us in a bit too close for comfort, they can jump you know!
Friday.
Decided on a trip to Kennedy space centre. Last time we went was about 4 years ago, and I must admit I wasn’t that bothered about going again. But Mr M wanted to go, so off we trotted. [msnsmile]
I really enjoyed it! They seem to have trimmed out a lot of the facts and figure they threw at us on the first trip, the short videos were informative and interesting, saw loads of Gators, but from the safety of the bus, plus eagles, turtles etc. Went round a mock up of the space station, saw a space loo - how does that work???[msnembarrased]
This is the space shower - apparently you have to Hoover all the water up before you can leave the room?!?[msnscared]
Watched the 3 D films and had a really good day out. Wandering round the shops bumped into a real live astronaut on his way to do a book signing. - I was really awe struck - this guy had been in space![msnoo]
He told me this is what he arrived in.....[msnwink]
Anyway - the latest gossip is the space programme will not finish next year, the new programme is called constellation project and the next manned launch to the moon is 2020, then off to mars, so ray bans on and off to do my top gun training - but will they teach me how to use that loo….. [msncool]
Really must go and get on with tea, I'll try and get this finished over the weekend, thanks again for listening to me waffle on, bye for now,[msnsmile2]
