Days four, five and six.
Sunday turned out to be another beautiful warm and sunny day so we took a drive to Blue Springs State Park. We last visited about 4 years ago and must have seen at least 15 manatee and various other wild life, we found the park to be peaceful and really tranquil. How ever, today it was really busy. (Possibly because it was mid term break?) Instead of the river being full of manatee, they had been replaced by children / teenagers with inflatable toys / rafts obviously having a good time. It seems a real shame the wild life had to give way to these kids who would have been better suited to a them park or even the beach. So after a wander around, we did see one lonely manatee, we decided to head back.
Off to try Applybys for tea, managed to get the drinks right tonight, food was OK,the restaurant is with in walking distance of our house so at least we can leave the car behind.
Monday morning I was woken really early, a thunder storm had started and it was raining really hard. Went back to sleep but when we got up it was still raining and looked set for the day. So only one thing to do and that’s go shopping of course.
We both have quite stressful jobs, and really enjoy our holidays. But this time, for some reason I just couldn’t shake work off, it keep creeping into my thoughts and disrupting my holiday time. So only one thing for it - off to a Disney Park! Now this trip we did say we wouldn’t be doing any parks, but I found some old Park Passes, had them checked and found we had 1 day Theme Park and 1 day Water Park left. So off we went to Epcot. It was the flower festival and the park looked stunning. Managed to get onto Soaring - I could stay on that ride all day, I find it so relaxing. The sun was out but not too hot so we spent our time wandering around the world show case, stopped off at the Rose and Crown for dinner, saw the fabulous firework display and fell into bed at 10.30 pm - shattered but with no thoughts of work left.
Hope you enjoy the photos. [msnsmile2]
Still to come, Kennedy Space Centre, The Shuttle arrival - or not, and our trip to the gulf coast including the fantastic Sanibel and Captiva Islands.
