Day seven Typhoon Lagoon
So already we are up to Wednesday and decided as we enjoyed Epcot so much we would do Typhoon Lagoon. This was our 1st visit to a Disney water park and didn’t really know what to expect. On arrival it was very quiet and we managed to park near the entrance. Found a quiet spot on the beach (big mistake, because each time you come back to your sun bed you get covered in sand!) and went off to do the lazy river. Now the park had only just opened at 10am and I think we were the only people on the river, really warm and calm and relaxing, until we came across a Disney Photographer, waist deep in the river wanting to take our photos! Please!!!! Me and Mr M in swimwear - I don’t think so!! [msnwink]
So did a few rides had a really fun time, wandered back to the beach when disaster struck, my favourite flip flops snapped! I’ve had them about 2 years and love them to bits, but sadly no more.
Off to the shop to buy some funky Billabong replacements, that match my snazzy sundress recently purchased at Ron Jons (when it was raining) - don’t I look the part! [msncool](Oh sorry, you don’t know because I drown the photographer…)
Lunch time, so went off for hot dogs and coke - wandering back to the beach area when the Typhoon warning went off. Tidal wave arrives just as I‘m passing the pool, unsettles my footing, new flip flop gets sucked back into the pool and disappears from view and I wipe my hot dog and red sauce all down the front of my dress - not so snazzy now![msncry]
So after a rescue mission involving a life guard, several children and some wet wipes, I’m now presentable again and off to do some slides. We thought it would be fun to go down in a double inner tube. With me in the front, with my legs tucked in so I didn’t scratch my nicely manicured toe nails. As we set off the guard shouted “don’t forget to lift your butt!” Being a novice at this game and thinking more about my nails than my butt I didn’t really take much notice, until we went over several rollers, designed to speed up the ride, placed at several locations on route. By the time we got to the bottom my Butt felt like it had, had the massage from hell, surely it must be good for cellulite though?? - By morning I had some stunning bruises…. Finished all the rest of the rides, really enjoyed all of the park, next time I’ll camp out on a non-beach area, ride the slides alone and LIFT MY BUTT.[msneek]
Nipped home for a quick wash and brush up them on to I Drive to Bahama Breeze for tea. Love this restaurant, had a fantastic meal, really good atmosphere, few beers then off home to bed.
Sorry no pictures - thanks for listening.[msnwink]
