Thursday 19.3.09 - Day one.
Flew with Virgin from Manchester, uneventful flight, arrived on time, touched down at 3.30pm, flew through immigration (went to the line on the furthest right hand side, as suggested by this site), collected cases and was allows to keep them rather than re submitting them, passed easily though customs (but they had sniffer dogs checking children’s pull along trolley bags, did see 2 get opened and searched), no queue at Alamo desk, collected car, off to Publix for quick shop, in Villa by 6.30pm!![msnsmile2] Never done it that fast before, something of a record for us. Staying again at Regal Palms, just off the US27. A new Applebys has opened so wandered down there for a bite to eat. Beautiful warm sunny evening, felling very contented with our selves if not a little travel weary. Ordered 2 beers, didn’t realise it was on 2-4-1 so ended up with 4 pints in mugs with handles on!![beer] By the time we had eaten and finished our beer, I was unable to stay awake a moment longer. So quick stagger back to the house and in bed by 9.30pm.[zzz]
