    With Cinnamon in.....

    Apple pie
    Baked sweet potato
    Cinistixs from Dominoes

As well as a plethora of candy snacks.

I do a mean butternut squash roasted in olive oil seasoned and generously sprinkled with cinnamon.

    I love the stuff.

Is cinnamon indigenous to the US and what have you eaten it in?

It's also good on fresh melon and porridge (oatmeal). I also have a shepherds pie recipe that calls for it.

To be fair though, jacket sweet potato only comes with a side of cinnamon butter - so that's easily avoided.

And butternut squash is heaps better without it so that it actually tastes of yummy butternut squash.

I hate cinnamon and often have to send my cappucino coffee back because it gets sprinkled on top even when I ask for it not too.
Never have apple pie in FL as can't taste the apple for the cinnamon.

Love the stuff, especially on me Latte's. Is this a marmite thing - you either love it or hate it?

I Love it too....and marmite!! Yes, I do think you either love it or hate, or that's the experience in my family anyway. I think over here they use too little of it - I like it the American way!! [msnsmile2]

Love cinnamon and always have the following in my suitcase when I come home:-

    Cinnamon toothpaste.
Cinnamon plug-in Air Wick air freshener refills.
Cinnamon stick car air fresheners from Yankee Candle and/or Wal-Mart.
Cinnamon broom from Publix (if I am there close to Christmas).
Cinnamon tic-tacs (although they seem to be rather hard to find these days).
    Big Red chewing gum.
Cinnamon Altoids - but they are really hot!
Some hard-boiled cinnamon flavoured sweets from Target or Wal-Mart.

as well as anything else I can find!

Entenmann's (I think that is how you spell it) crumb cake has a cinnamon 'crust' and is very nice.

I once bought a cinnamon basket from the America shop at EPCOT. It was just a little decorative thing which came with a bottle of cinnamon oil to refresh the smell from time to time. It was really fragrant and the smell went through my whole house. I always go into the America shop whenver I am in EPCOT in the hope that they will be in there again, but I am always disappointed!

Love it cooked with apples in a crumble and love the smell of it when I tie cinnamon sticks together in a ribbon and tie them to the Christmas tree.

I sometimes have cinnamon toast for breakfast, and love cinnamon rolls, with lots of butter[msntongue]. I also sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on my blueberry pie.
Cinnamon is not indigenous to the US, comes from Asia and I think some from Central America but I am not 100% positive about that one.
I also use it, among other spices, when I make tagines and other Morrocan dishes.
