I would say that Universal is more suited to the young ones. There are a few rides in IOA for the young but the majority and the rollercoaster rides.

Being a big baby myself and not going on these I find that I am waiting around for everyone else. Jurassic Park even scares me.

If you are visiting Orlando during February / March do make sure you go to Universal on a Saturday. They are currently celebrating Mardi Gras and each Saturday there is a live performer. I nearly stayed an extra week to see Creedance Clearwater Revival, one of my all time favourites. This week (23 Feb) it is James Brown, and there is also Earth Wind & Fire, Hootie & the Blowfish and Lynyrd Skynrd (spelling?!) so it's great for us kids of the 60's and 70's.

Regarding Universal itself, we have been going since our children were 5 and 9, they loved it then, and although now as teenagers (16 and 13) they enjoy IOA more because of the rollercoasters, they also enjoy Men in Black.

To keep the old fogies happily they come with us on Terminator 3D, Twister and Earthquake and ET. And we always go and see The Blues Brothers. They used to love the animal shows and the play area.
