14 March to 28 March

Here we are in sunny florida, myself and sister (shoppaholics) and husband and nephew (sports fanatics)

Had a good trip out, flight busy but everything went ok no major holdups until we went to get the cars.

Left sister and nephew to wait for bags which are now coming out on a carousel near to the car hire desks. The queue for Dollar was horrendous but as I'm a dollar express member there wouldn't be a problem - wrong.

The dollar express line was in the garage where you normally pick up the keys. There were two people waiting and when it was our turn we had to wait a further 1/2 hour for one of our cars to arrive.

I'd ordered two cars an intermediate for The "boys" and a Grand Jeep Cherokee for the girls. We were given a PT Cruiser not ideal as they both have a set of golf clubs, our Jeep when it arrived seemed small to me but husband said I was imagining it.

Set off from Airport and for the first time in 12 years I got lost. I wanted the 417 but found myself heading towards the 528 ignored that and after a little detour headed back to airport to start again. Husband thought I was going back to change car , I think I did two laps of airport as I picked A route instead of B or vice a versa before I found the road I wanted.

Arrived at villa without any further problems and after sorting ourselves out we headed to Applebees for dinner. The car park was full so instead we went to Wendy's next door.

After a whole day eating it was probably the best choice.

Headed back to Walmart for the essentials, milk, cereal etc and toilettries, dvd for husband to watch. Back to villa and tried to stay awake until at least 10 p.m. didn't succeed. Woke up at 4 a.m and whilst sitting by the pool I saw an armadillo scuttle past.

[u]Tip</u> I used BAA advance at Gatwick for valet parking £87.80, they have a separate parking area where you can unload your car and pick it up on your return. They were cheaper than the one's I normally use, don't know if it's a one off special but worth checking out.
