    Priority Pass

Has anyone ever subscribed to this, or knows anyone who has?

I always see it in in-flight magazines and I'm always tempted, but it's not cheap so I wondered if anyone has ever tried it, and what they thought of it?

Never bothered as my Amex gets me into lounges for free. If I had to pay I would not bother I can always find a quiet corner and good coffee in any airport. Twice I have

I think you're both talking about the same thing.

Doesn't the Amex Platinum card just give you the Priority Pass benefits within the charge? Neither are particularly cheap and you have to fly a lot to make them worthwhile and they mostly only get you into lunges that you can pay for anyway.

I have priority pass and think it is worthwhile if you travel a lot but not if you are only using it a couple of times a year. You still have to pay to access the lounges (£15) but you do get access to lounges that you would not otherwise get into unless you were flying certain classes or with certain airlines.

    Hope this helps.

It is quite limited though. For example, it won't get you into any of the excellent lounges at Terminal 5 at Heathrow.

I have a Priority Card that comes with a NatWest Black Card. It costs me nothing to get in airline lounges and as I did not have to pay for it, it is very good value. There are certain lounges you cannot use it, but there is always a pleasant alternative. You only have to pay £15 if you take a guest in. The cardholder never pays. My husband has a card also so we don't ever pay anything out and have had it for years now. Would not like to be without it, but agree it would be expensive if you had to pay for it and then only use it a few times a year.

Interesting comments. My bank gave me one and I've never actually used it. I always assumed it wouldn't actually work,or it would end up costing more money, like many of these things. Must look it out.

Thanks for all the replies. It sounds as if it is worthwhile if you get it for 'free' (ie as part of a deal with your credit card company) but probably not worth paying for on its own.
