Visited Downtown a couple of years ago but can't remember if Disney passes were needed - we want to go to Rainforest Cafe and shops but didn't intend revisiting the Disney Parks only Universal this visit so wouldn't have any Disney passes. Thanks

No passes needed for Downtown Disney - it was the clubs at pleaseure island that you used to need them for.

The other good news is that parking is free at Downtown Disney [msnsmile2] unlike Universal City Walk where you have to pay for parking [msnsad]
