I am new to this forum and we have already rented a villa for Feb 2010 and cannot wait to go. [clap]
"Our" villa is situated in Aviana. Has anyone ever been there and what's it like? Is it finished?
Unfortunately Google Earth and those things still give construction photos.
I hope some of you can give some info! Thanks a lot![high5]
Yes, I think the Google Earth photos are a least 4 years out of date !

Aviana is still under construction but may be finished by the time you arrive in Florida.

It is very similar to Solana and was built by same people just after Solana was completed. You could look up Solana resort on google to get an idea. Unfortunately the building downturn stopped many resorts being completed but not sure about this one.
Like the others have said, Aviana is unfinished and similar in style to the attractive Solana community.
I am in this community weekly... it has a really nice looking clubhouse and a small gazebo overlooking a retention pond... there are a few long term rentals in here, but it mostly appears to be short term.
... on a sidenote, there appears to be a few 'abandoned/vacant' homes in the community - but they do not detract from the aesthetics.
