    Hello again

Does anyone know if Continental airlines allow you to pick your own seats prior to departure , and can you pay extra for extra legroom or exit seats

I was able to choose my seat on-line before departure.
    Bristol - Newark

I suppose it depends what sort of aircraft is used - on the flight I was on there did not seem to be much in the way of exit rows - for me the leg room in the seats was ample - but I'm not 6 Foot tall - [msnwink]

My reply is as above, I fly Bristol/Newark and then onto Tampa three times a year and choose my seat at the same time as I book and have never had it changed when I get to check-in.

Don't have an answer about paying for extra leg-room, for me it is just about OK for the length of the trip but then I ALWAYS choose an aisle seat which gives you a little bit of leeway but with a one-aisle plane there always seems to be some sort of trolley up and down the aisle.

No complaints about Continental, it saves a great deal of time and hassle to be able to use a local airport.

I'm sure you've seen the seat map but bear in mind that the configuration is a single aisle 3-3 set up. I find that awkward if you aren't a party of 3 because you have to choose whether you want to have a window seat and disturb the passengers next to you to get out or have an aisle seat and get up to let others out. On balance, I'd choose the aisle.

As Clare points out, the trip is quite short so that to some extent offsets the problem.

As a regualar user of Continental, On booking you will be given login details to your own area on their site. This will allow you to view your current seating plus allow you to choose where you would like to sit if the seating is available. You can also like most other carriers check in online etc etc etc.

You will be issued a ref number and this can be used on their website to pick your seats. You will have to be quick becasue the best ones go quickly.
