    Windsor Park Remington

Hi Everyone,we are off to Orlando in October and was wondering if anyone had stayed at Windsor Park Remington? We are all booked with Virgin and i have checked online for info about this area.Seems to be ideally placed for Orlando International but maybe a bit further out for the parks? Any feedback would be most appreciated.

You are actually just a short distance from exit 242 on the Florida Turnpike.

Take this North to exit 249 then take Osceola Parkway east directly to Disney enterance.

If you carry on to exit 254 that's the Florida Mall or take 528 East to SeaWorld

If you stay on till exit 259 that's Universal and the Mall at Millenia

Only down side is that these are toll roads and will cost around $3 per day. However journey times are quick so you will not be wasting time stuck in traffic.

Great directions Dave, must admit we use the turnpike a lot, never been stuck in traffic yet and it is so straight forward well worth the toll charge.

We've stayed in remmington before and found the turnpike a godsend after attempting the 192.I know that dollar do packages that give you a toll pass but can't remember how much it costs per week.It might work out cheaper if you intend to use the toll road alot during your trip.

Yes Ali, Dollar do a SunPass toll payment option but not sure of the cost. I rented a car from Budget on my last trip and it had number plate recognition. You just drive through the the tolls on the SunPass lane and the tolls are billed to your account + a $2.50 per day handling charge. I have a SunPass transponder that I use for the tolls out there so didn't take them up on the option.

The sunpass option with Dollar is $18 per week. It's great just driving through the sunpass lane instead of stopping and throwing coins in the tub or handing money over regularly.

Is that $18 per week no matter how often you use the tolls? Sorry, being lazy here I should look it up myself, but it is better to get this information first hand.

Thanks everyone, i was wondering about proximity of supermarkets/restaurants etc. to Remmington as we havent stayed in this area before. Have always been on us27. Kids will be 13 and 9 when we go, so any close family restaurants would be ideal. Thanks [high5]

We found a walmart 5 minutes down the road by turning left on the 192 towards st cloud and pretty sure theres a golden corral too.We only went that way late in the second week after asking a neighbour as our usual walmart was quite a trek.Chemist is closer that way as well.
