    Looking for Luggage

    no, fortunately not lost cases

I'm actually looking for a piece of luggage that meets the following criteria:

    1. carry-on size (ie fits in an overhead locker)
    2. wheels and pulling handle for ease of movement, plus another handle for lifting
    3. small(ish) compartment for clothes - large enough for a weekend trip
    4. laptop compartment, preferably padded
    5. a couple of other miscellaneous compartments for book, tickets etc
    6. well built and sturdy

My wife has one from the Swissgear/Victorinox Lugano range which is almost perfect, but it's proving to track down the exact model now...perhaps it is discontinued...

Does anyone have any suggestions, preferably from personal experience?

    Thanks in advance [clap]

If it's going to be big enough for a weekend trip and go in the overhead bins, you're looking for something around 20".

I have a Tumi T3 20" which doesn't have a specific laptop section but ticks all the other boxes. You can safely put a laptop in 1 of the compartments. I bought it 3 years ago and it's been with me for about 250,000 miles of flying yet looks just the same as the day I bought it.

Tumi isn't cheap but you probably won't ever need another case however much you travel.

Thanks for that...I've seen the Tumi range but I'll check for the T3 specifically. I'm happy to pay more if it lasts me, and it sounds like yours has lasted very well [msnsmile]
