    Virgin Atlantic

Does anyone know if Virgin flights to Orlando have the new upgraded premium economy seats? We are due to fly with them in May.

They were not done 6 months ago and I think I read a recent post about them still being the old type. I am sure someone who has travelled this month will give you an up to date answer.

We flew out last Tuesday and they are still the old seats, they only have the new ones on the New York route at present according to the virgin atlantic website.

We've been in the new seats on the LHR to LAX route for the last two years. They are really comfortable and a HUGE improvement on the old ones.

Let's hope they come to the Orlando route soon.

Not at Manchester - Orlando unfortunately. When we flew back two weeks ago, they had the original seats in PE.

Thanks for that guys. It's a pity they don't show that on their adverts.

As a rule of thumb, if it's out of Heathrow it's the new seats. Otherwise you're on the old stuff until they get round to all their fleet.

Not infallible though and you might just get (very) lucky.

It is a real shame that the roll out of this has been pushed back and pushed back. I know that the "bucket and spade" routes are not seen as the money earners, but, come on ... those planes are usually pretty full in all classes all the time.

They know they will fill them anyway -probably finance the others!IF you look on V-flyer Forum they said the refurb had been put back for Manchester.

Problem is that it's not whether the seats are full (which on a lot of Virgin's Transatlantic services they aren't at the moment), it's what the people in those seats are paying that matters. Not hard to sell seats at bargain prices but not so easy to make a profit on them in the present climate.

I've never flown Virgin's PE but the magazine advert certainly makes the new product look attractive. Pity it's taking such a while to fit it to all the fleet.
