    Nationwide Credit/Debit Card

    Hi

Does anyone know which account I need to open to get a Nationwide Credit or debit card. Had a look on their website and there seem to be a couple of different accounts.

I just want to open one to be able to put holiday money in and spend using the Debit/Credit Card with no charges - also which card would be best?

The rest of the year I don't intend keeping any money in the account, so obviously don't want to open something whereby you have to keep X amount of pound in it etc.

I just have a nationwide credit card for use abroad, I don't have an account with them at all. I just make sure I pay it off in full and then I don't have to pay any fees.

You need a Flexaccount for a debit card I believe(this is in effect a current account)

You can open a linked ESaver from that account.

A credit card does not need a bank account.

I have the 'Flex' account which links to the debit card. You don't have to have a Nationwide account to apply for the credit card. Both give excellent exchange rates but I believe there is a fee for cash withdrawals with the credit card.

    I recommend both highly.

Can you apply for a card online or not or do you have to go in a branch office , We went in one in Southport a while back and explained what we wanted and she said we had to bank with them to get a credit card of theres so we did not go any along with it .
    Advise please

    Maureen,
You can apply for Nationwide credit card on-line. You don't need a Nationwide bank account.
    Just G**gle "Nationwide credit card"....

    Thanks for all the advice.

As I only want a card to be able to withdraw cash, should I just go for the debit carde?
