Hi have just found this forum and think it's great. We are planning to take the family next Christmas and New Year and it will be first time for all of us. With all the helpful advice I've accessed so far I have a lot more confidence in booking independently. The villas look fantastic and it's really hard to choose but we're working our way through them slowly. Does anyone know if the parks will be open Christmas Day and New Years Day. Can't seem to find this info.

    Hi Mary

Get in quick with your villa choice, a lot of them book up over a year in advance for Christmas.

Everything is open on Christmas day (except the shops and some eating places).

    Have fun planning
    Christine

Hi Mary and welcome to the forum. We were at our villa in December, preparing our home for our guests, and it was 80 degrees and simply wonderful. We were putting up our tree etc. and wrapping presents for them with the pool a lovely warm 88 degrees and the sun shining over the water. Our Chrismas guests had a simply wonderful time, and even went swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove. They could not believe how warm it was. They went to Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day and really loved it. It is alway magical but at Christmas it is more so.

You are certainly right about booking your chosen villa ASAP as our Christmas guests booked over a year before, and I know that is quite common!

I am sure you will have a truly wonderful time.
