I would check what the price was with Virgin Holidays first as i have seen several quotes from TCD that when compared to Virgin are much more expensive!

I would consider it. Although they are part of Virgin now so not too sure about that.

I have been on their website to look for flights but all it offers is their brochure at the moment.

There was a less than complimentary item on 'Working Lunch' last week. It looked to me that not much has changed.

I would wait for some feedback first.

Does the price you were quoted cover the 'compulsory' extras that was their scam in their previous life - full car insurance etc.

I am amazed that, given their reputation, they came back using the same name.

The thing is Robert TCD were a profitable company, it was their parent company that brought them down! XL got rid of all the TCD planes and then made them use their own, if XL hadn't got involved TCD as was would still be here today.

As for using them now, never used them before as i always book things separately however i know a few people that did and they have said they never had any issues until XL took over.

However to save any of the TCD/XL arguments on here which used to occur frequently i will only say mo i wouldn't use them but only because we book everything separately.

we have travelled with TCD about 9 times and lost flights and car hire when they went under in september08 , lucky for us we have been paid back in full and same for my brother

Received they brochure yesterday and notice they are not starting until March09
and do not do fly drive holidays
    only package deals ,
we have never complained about TCD and found they staff helpful and friendly ,
but if they do not do fly drive[msneek]we will be booking virgin

we once stayed on a TCD villa before we where owners
    never again

All in our holiday is £2306 witch to me is a good deal and that's platinum insurance.

I was looking at other tour operators and they wanted £2600 just for hotel and flights.

I will report back to you all when we get back.

I was in two minds to book or not but the virgin thing made my mind up and they are atol protected.

My fionas boss lost a lot to TCD last year but again he was refunded full price back.
