I'm still doing SW, lost over 3 stone so far. It's slowly, slowly. Put on a few (and it is only a few) lbs this summer while my eldest has been in and out of hospital and I've been taking her between hospitals and consultants as well as working a 6 day week, so food planning has not been easy from a time factor as much as anything else. They've started coming off, and hope to be another 5 - 7lbs lighter by the time we go to Florida for our family holiday at Christmas.
Speedfoods and superfree are the way to go. Have beetroot and oranges in the fridge and plan to make a salad with that tomorrow pm to have with jacket pot and cold ham. I find home cooking as much as possible helps as you know exactly what has gone into it and have control.

Well done Francis and good luck everyone! Over the years I put on too much weight but since last September I've lost 33lbs. (Frightening to realise just how much I'd put on!!) I lost mine with Rosemary Conley and found I really enjoy the Zumba exercise which are part of it.

I am usually okay when I go to Florida because when I am in the zone, I tend to be more careful especially when in Florida!!! It is a 'mindset' thing with me and I am either in or out of the zone!!!!

I never do the cooking as people who know me know! However, I made a Scan Bran Cake with a quark and raspberry filling. There were about 8/10 portions and they were 1 syn each if that! I also made a 'quiche' with bacon, cottage cheese, 3 eggs, asparagus, corn, mushrooms & spinach. I have made them with different veggies and it is a handy thing to have in the fridge at all times as it is no syns. It has to be extremely simple and quick for me to make anything!!! Eating out tomorrow night just before weighing in on Thursday. I just hate doing that....grhhh.

Anyone got some really simple things that I can keep in the fridge (not fruit salad as I can do that).[msnwink]

I usually do better when I meal plan also Fiona. Despite the fact that I hate sitting down and plowing through the cookbooks for ideas before doing a weekly shop, it is worth it in the end to know that I have the makings of a healthy meal in the fridge.

I think that I would do much better if I could redeem lbs lost towards my holiday

[msnsmile2] [msnsmile2] Like your way of thinking - wonder what Virgin would say if instead of using air miles we asked if they took 'fat' miles!

Recently lost 2 stone. Have been hovering around 20 -21 stone for some years. Always made all the excuses as why I domt need to lose wieght And quite frankly npwill power was very low. Well finally I made an effort. Joined a gym, did about an hour and half most days, mainly on crosstrainer (these things are effortless if use the polar plus built in system). Change of diet bu not dramatic, I dont eat veggies. The making things was working to a daily calorie count of around 1800 - 2000 (i am 6'1" tall). I still eat well and still eat 'bad things' but have got down to 18 stone. Last couple of weeks have been on tour so diet is realy messed up, late night eating is limited to mcdonalds and such on motorway services. Still lost a couple of pounds. Ignore faddy diets, eat what you like but monitor it, excerise is good for you and makes you feel better in your self. My morning workout was burning of 1200 calories, thats a chunk of a good daily allowance. Ohand watch out for low fat foods, they are often high in calories. Kate has also lost a lot of wieght following a similar plan but without the gym. She also tried Rosemary Connally classes which are good but dont buy their diet food, complete rip off. Nothing wrong with what you can buy of the shelf. Now comes the hard part still want go lose another 1 and half stone.....

I am always full of good intentions, but rarely get around to dieting. I went to Scottish Slimmers a year or so ago and still have their info etc. so plan on taking them with me to Florida when we go in 3 weeks. Actually I don't usually put on much weight while I am there - we don't eat out a lot and it is so easy to just have a Barbie and a salad, but if I make an effort with the Scottish Slimmers plan I might just lose some weight, a stone would be good, but two would be even better.
