Don't get too despondent Karen. It gets harder as time goes by!!!!

I have an hourglass type figure so clothes round the waist are always too big, and definitely too small around my top!!! I have various sizes dependant on where I buy them - anything from 14 if I'm lucky to 18. M&S is the worst for me as I have to go to 18 at least for them to go round my top!![msnembarrased]

I didn't have a great week last week, didn't lose anything but will weigh in again next week. It's seems the first half stone came off quickly, the other doesn't want to leave

    Has everyone given up?

I have not attended SW for the past 2 Thursdays as I know I am a little out of target. We will be away for 8 weeks and if I am out of target will have to pay for 8 weeks whilst I am away!!! Not even sure I can go this week either as we have a funeral of a dear friend who passed away suddenly. Only one week left then before we go to Epsom for 8 weeks so will have to get back into the mindset pretty quickly.

    How is everyone else?

Hi Sandra, I am still here. Not given up, although I did wonder if our band of merry men had fallen into a dark hole lol

I am in the zone taken up walking with a friend in the evenings with her dogs. She conveniently forgot to tell she walks 5 miles every night.

The first time I went walking with her,the next morning every bone in my body ached . I can't do it every night but I walked three nights last week.Doing it this way gives me a breather in between walks and it is getting easier.

I have downloaded an app on my phone which tells me how far I have walked in how many minutes and more importantly how many calories I have used.

I hope you have fully recovered now Sandra and you will be back to your target soon.

    I'm still here as well!
Have been struggling a bit over the past couple of weeks. Twice I had to abandon my 500 cal days, once because I went to a meeting and couldn't resist the cakes and biscuits and once because I had the evening munchies!!
i did manage to do another day the first time it happened but last week I had 3 meals out as well. I haven't gained but the weight loss has really slowed down, having lost 1/2 a stone a month for the first four months, in the last 5 weeks I have only lost 4.5llbs.

I have been back on track this week but it is only Weds and I am out at the weekend so need to keep focused. Our office clerk is a personal trainer so three of us are having a session with her on Friday, hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow.
i am absolutely determined to keep going and every time I struggle I try on some of my new clothes.......it gives me a kick!
i have bought a couple of less expensive items that are too tight so that I can keep trying them on until they fit, it's never worked in the pat but this time it feels different so we'll see.

good luck with getting back to target Sandra, keep telling yourself how well you've done, you don't want to put it all back on!

Barbara, sometimes a change of regime like your new exercise plan kick starts a new round of weight loss as I think sometimes your body just gets bored with the routine, good luck with it I look forward to hearing that you are edging closer to your goal.

Thank you Liz for your encouragement I am enjoying the walking now but I think the nice weather of late as helped .

Like you I am dertermined to continue with my new lifestyle even with a few hiccups along the way. I think 4.5lbs in five weeks is good never say only!! We both know its going to take longer as we have less to lose.

Clothes is my downfall at the moment I love trying new items on, then of course I am tempted to buy.

I desperately want to lose another 14 lbs in the next 7 weeks but realistically its not going to happen . But at least I am still trying which is a first for me . Usually I give up at the first hurdle and go back to my old ways .

Great news on your new activity Barbara. Which App did you download? I have tried a couple but they were not what I needed. Yours sounds as though it is. Unfortunately I was bitten at The Royal Cornwall Show last Thursday and have a huge big toe with a huge big lump on it. Have been advised to keep my foot up and not to do much walking!!!! I wish it would burst as I don't think flip flops - the only shoes I can put on at present - would look very good at a funeral tomorrow.

Liz, your loss is great and of course things slow down the longer your journey becomes. I have finding it hard to lose just 1 or 2 lbs so well done you.

I know Karen was in Florida for the weekend as my friend Rosie saw her and said she looked fabulous!!!

    Onwards and upwards ladies.[grouphug]
