No, American coffee is much better than UK coffee, they use Columbian coffee, and a fraction of the price for fresh ground coffee.
We always bring 2 huge cans of fresh Columbian coffee back from Publix or Walmart. The same amount in UK would cost an arm and a leg!
All supermarkets have a HUGE selection of cereals and different types of breads etc. more so than UK.

I think in truth the only thing that I would take would be "Medical-related" and tea bags. Otherwise just enjoy the massive range of foodstuffs available. The only thing that might be worth a mention is the Ice Tea-unless you are into drinking what is in effect cold milk-less tea then ensure you get a flavoured one they are very refreshing.
Don't get hooked on Reeses pieces you'll struggle to find them back in the UK and the withdrawal is horrible!

The Olive Garden, Manny's chophouse and the Bonefish Grill cater for coeliacs too. Again you have to inform the server and ask for separate salads without dressing. You actually have more choice eating out in Florida than you do at home.

I think the best advise is take nothing into US the sniffer dogs are always at Immigration and Baggage reclaim, they sniffeed an apple in my bag from the plane,you are then likely to have all your bags opened ????????????
There are many, many outlets where you can stop for a few minutes on the way to your accomodation to pick up bread,milk etc, but ask your villa owner. 99% will provide a welcome pack waiting for you if you ask.

Had a giant cucumber sniffed out at Orlando and the guy stood there smacking his other hand with it up and down. I had to gulp as he informed me that he had to get the Agricultural Officer down to ask him what it was !!! I ask ya ! For a split secoud i thought I was on for a strip search from a guy waiving a large cucumber. Scarey moment !

Trouble is most of their breakfast cereals are sugar coated. Finding equivalent of a un-sweetened muesli or even Kellogs Corn Flakes is not easy. I personally go for Chex - similar to Shreddies but tried Win Dixie own brand once (!); they were like cardboard even with milk & some sugar on.

Next time, have a look out for Post cereals - they're not too sweet and come in lots of delicious varieties.
