Internet Acces - impossible in USA???

Please send this testimonial for the home's 64 owner and for the manager.

AFTER I HAVE PAID THE HOME I did not like the assistance that I am having from the owner.
When I realized the home did not have internet access (belive me it's possible in this world) i asked for it. The answer was: impossible to arrange an internet access at this late (2 weeks??? I am arriving on dec 24).
Sorry, I can not believe that in America you do not have internet at the same day that you ask for it. If it was in Africa, I would believe, in USA I don't.
I feeling that "The moment I have paid for the home, they don't have to assist me anymore."
So, check weel everything before paying, because after payment they will not help you anymore, nor big things neither little things like internet access.

Sorry, do I understand you correctly? You booked a home and then decided that, although the home owner didn't offer guests internet access, you want this installed specifically for your stay?

You're quite correct that not all homes offer internet access and this is something you need to check out for yourself with the owner before you book the home if it's important for you to have this.

Internet access in the USA isn't such a 'little' thing that it is here in the UK and it costs quite considerably more (for instance) than it does here in the UK also. All the internet access providers that I know of also require a long term contract to provide service. And I don't know of any that will provide this immediately - it has to be booked in advance and yes, arranging some things does move more slowly in America.

Your last minute request appears to be a little unreasonable, given that you should have checked out the facilities provided in the home that you required prior to booking.

If it's any help, most public libraries provide computers and internet access in Florida,

I also thought the same as you, that internet access would be as easy as getting electricity. However, for the first 18 months after buying my villa the only internet access we had was with dial up and using a card offering free internet access from Walmart. It took 18 months before we had the facilities for wireless internet in our villa.

It would seem the owner you booked with has the same problems and it would take a long time to get access. The best thing you would be able to do is get one of the cards from Walmart, instal it on your laptop and use dial up (it uses a local line so no charge for the dial up). Alternatively as Blot suggests, there are many libraries that offer internet access.

Also, Kissimmee St Cloud has free wireless internet if you take a drive there you would be able to surf the net and check mails.

All homes that have internet let you know that in their adverts, as you say, it is better to check carefully and ask about all of the things that are important to you.

some communities offer free wifi Internet at there club house for guest
if you have your own laptop ,

all villa with Internet do have a little sign on there page advertising the service

you can always ask the villa owner if you could use you laptop and try budget dial up
I used it for years and its a great service ,
don't forget you will need a adapter for the telephone line

Just a note to say I've spoken to the owner of villa ref 64 and they have confirmed their broadband internet is working perfectly and has been all along, just as advertised. What they are confused about is this person claiming to be staying in their villa as they know nothing about them and have had a Christmas booking for different dates in their home for ages under a very different name.

They actually no longer advertise with us (for commercial reasons I won't go into here - there is absolutely nothing wrong with their home, which is beautiful and exactly as it was advertised with us).

This all sounds like a very bizarre mix-up. Might I suggest you get your facts straight before posting a message like this as it can potentially cause a lot of damage to the good reputation of a very genuine villa owner [msnsad].
