Vizcay ???

Hi this is my first post and first time to orlando !!!! we have booked and will be staying in a vilaa at Vizcay - apart from the info off the travel agent I cant find anything on here or other forums - Does anyone have any information about Vizcay at all please - map of the location- amenities nearby - any building work etc

Hi,
We live near Vizcay on Royal Palms.
From the I-4 take the exit 55 signposted Haines city & Clermont, keep to your right and at the traffic lights go 27 south, through two more sets of lights and then take the second turning on the left by the Red Carpet Inn onto Citrus Ridge Drive and Vizcay is the third community on the left.
I think most of the homes are finished, so not sure on building work.
We have a small plaza near the red carpet with an Italian res, opening soon, a liquor shop, going postal, a subway I think it is and more shops on the new Posner Park which you will see as you drive past. There is also "The Pub" on the right hand side with a great hypnotist there on a saturday night and Elvis on Tuesdays.
Publix is the nearest supermarket going south from Citrus Ridge ( opposite the hospital ) and further on is Wal-Mart.

Hi, we stayed at Vizcay in April this year. Our villa was lovely and it was in a great location. Posner Park has a Target, Best Buy, JC Penney as well as other shops so it's nice and handy if you fancy doing a bit of shopping close to home! There was no building work and as Skippy (Sue) said, I'm sure all the homes are finished.

I think you will love Vizcay and I would definitely rent there again.

Not going until Oct 19th 09 - first time to Florida so Im panicking now about planning etc !!!!

From the location description I would guess about 30 mins from MCO and about 15 mins from WDW via I4, but I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong as I am estimating the driving ditsnce from I4 and not from the community itself.[msnsmile]

We are going on October 21st '09 and have also rented a villa in Vizcay. Last two years we have stayed in Westbury (turn right off 27), Citrus Ridge leading to Vizcay is directly opposite (turn left off 27). The area is pretty quiet as it is a bit of the beaten track, but I,m sure you'll love it. There is a new Target that has opened up, which we spent a couple of hours in last year. The Pub is not to be missed, the wife enjoy's the Way Out West shop, etc. Disney is about 20 mins, I-Drive is probably no more than 30 mins. MCO is about 45 mins (daytime). Maybe we can meet up for a night out at The Pub.

We are opposite Posner Park, about 12 minutes from WDW and we are closer to the I-4 than Vizcay. So I would imagine about 15 mins could be right.

Posner Park is great as the Target has a small supermarket section so if you need to just pop in somewhere on the way home it is ideal!
