Officially with Dollar you return empty and pay for the tank, but as long as you return full and specifically point out to the check-in clerk that the tank is full then they wont charge you for the tank.

Can I just clarify Roger that with Dollar on the Silver option you can still return the car full and avoid the fuel charge, as we iintend to do Christmas, please?

    Thanks Roger
As we only have one driver it's cheaper for us to do that than go for Gold for 3 weeks but their fuel charges are so expensive its better for us.

Also we chose the returning the car full (silver?)option with Budget as if we have to return it empty my DH insists on us running on fumes to the airport which I find too stressful[msnwink]
