    Flight times changed

We have flights booked with Delta for next July and I have just received an email to say they have changed the times[msnsad].

We were booked on the 11am flight, arriving at Atlanta 15.40 then flying again at 17.40, 2 hours between flights which we thought was fine.

Now they are saying 9am flight, arriving 13.30 and not leaving until 17.50[msneek]

Is it worth ringing them to try and get on an earlier flight at no extra cost to us.

You can ring DELTA direct in London and if they can they will change the times so you are not waiting as long ,Better to do it as soon as possible as they get booked upp quickly .
Have you signed for air miles you can join on there web site .

It probably is worth ringing them Sally and just checking why you now have over 4 hours between flights at Atlanta. It is possible that the flights have been re-scheduled and there is not enough time between the two flights. Hopefully, as they changed the flights and not you, there will not be any charge.

We have always found Delta very helpful. Maybe there is the option of flying via a different stop?

    Thanks Maureen and Mo.

I did ring them and they gave me a choice of 2 earlier flights to Orlando[clap]. We are now booked on the 15.50 one, 2 hours 20 minutes between flights now[msnsmile2]. I could of had the earlier one but that was only 1 hour 20 minutes between and although last time we did that is was a bit of a rush.

Good news Sally. Flights can get changed when bookings are made sometime in advance but I do find Delta are normally quite helpful.

It is probably something to do with their merger with NorthWest

Or more likely a drop in demand, so they are cutting their flights back to one a day to atlanta.

We went from Orlando to Kalispel (Montana) through Atlanta last summer. Delta emailed us with a flight change. I called them and we re-booked on a different day with no extra charge.
They understand the inconvenience. It's all to do with schedule reductions due to fuel prices.
But a barrel of oil is now under $50. So maybe the airlines will start to get back to normal!

I have now had notification that our flights have changed again[msnmad]

Now its Gatwick-Atlanta and Atlanta-Gatwick on Northwest Airlines.

The plane has changed to a A330-300.

Does anyone know what Northwest are like and will we have seatback TV's. We do not really care if we do or dont as my girls have plenty they can take, portable dvd's ipods etc but it would just save us taking them if we don't need them.

Also as we booked through opodo they were the ones that have notified us of the change but they still have the later flight from Atlanta-Orlando but when I go onto Delta our flight is the earlier one I changed it too as my previous post. So which one will we be on the opodo one or the delta one? Do i need to ring Delta again?
