Has anyone flown with Monach recently?

we did in august/september this year, no frills but all good no complaints.... one thing we did find annoying was the drinks.... you have to pay for them so only get one i think free.... bit annoying as your hardly likely to take them onboard with you, the prices on the flight are disgusting!!!

This is only my experience with Monarch, and that was over three years ago.
We flew with this airline once, never again, it was the worst flight ever for us.

The food was cold the flight attendants couldn't be bothered. They did have problems in the kitchen but their couldn't care less attitude was unacceptable. Plus the fact with no seat back TV the journey seemed eddless.
This could have been a one off bad day, unfortunately this experience put me off risking Monarch Airlines ever again. [msnwink]

We had some friends use Monarch in August who also said never again for the same reasons as Barbara apart from the problems with the kitchen.

However I suppose each journey is different and maybe with other staff it could be a far better experience.

We flew with them in July this year. There were no seatback TV's, but we couldn't complain as the flights were both on time, food OK (as far as aircraft food goes!) and the cabin crewe friendly enough. We got the flights at good prices so worth the inconvenience of not having seatbacks.

I would travel with them again if the price was right, but do miss the seatback TVs!

we actually found the food was quite nice, hot tasty..... no cant complain about the food.... and to be honest we have had worse on virgin!!
just annoyed at having to pay extortionate prices for onboard drinks.... we dealt with no seatback tvs as we knew before hand and took plenty of things to read and kids had nintendo ds's
my family dont want to go by monarch again tho cos they do miss the tvs, 'he he he he' doesnt bother me as i love reading my paperbacks!!
so virging next time even if we have to pay a bit more.... well 9 hours + is a long time....[msnwink]
