We go there when we have been to the libary close by , They have a fishing competition each year and they come from all over the USA we met some of them last year it is a lovely place to go we get a coffee from Starbucks are the gas station ande a muffin .
You can see the fish jump .

Whenever we try to explain to people why we prefer a villa holiday in Florida as oppose to a hotel - Disney or otherwise - we always point out that it has so much more to offer than the theme parks.

These pics certainly do justice to that statement.

It really sadens me when people dismiss Florida as just theme parks and beaches, there is sooooooooo much more to it. We love the lake at Kissimmee and had a brilliant boat trip on it. The 4th of July fireworks are brilliant there and they're free!

Have you ever tried fishing there? Wondered if you needed a permit etc
