car hire Tampa Airport

Roger,

Do you know what is the best bet for hiring at Tampa airport and returning to MCO ?

We fancy a Premium 7 seat SUV and want to also put a young driver of 23 on the insurance.

I realise some are off airport but are they far away ? Dont fancy negotiating Tampa City in the dark if thats the case.

the off airport car hire places are not in Tampa city, they are very near the airport and you will come out onto the same area as if you were exiting the airport.

We have used Budget at Tampa airport many times admittedly not for the sort of vehicle you are talking about. Budget is at the airport and exit from the airport is extremely easy.

We used Alamo at Tampa and they had a good choice of vehicles (last time had a Toyota 4Runner). The bus pick up is immediately outside the airport door and it is only a few minutes drive to the depot. From the depot it is an easy journey onto the I4 even in the dark.

We used Alamo in Tampa in August and it was really easy.

We just had a few minutes wait for a shuttle bus to pick us up and take us to the depot.

On the way back the shuttle bus was waiting for us and dropped each party off at the individual entrance to each of the various airline check in areas - Great Service

We always use Dollar at Tampa Airport. The office and cars are at the Airport and an easy exit to the
I-4 for Orlando.
