    Martines 2nd instalment

Well as you must know Hurricane Gustav was on its way and we had tickets for Kennedy space centre. We thought we should go as the next week we might not get there. The journey was ok tilll we got to around Cocoa beach, then you could see how flooded the land was and it was pouring with rain. We carried on and got the umbrella out( always everthing you need in the villa!). Anyway it stopped raining after an hour. We enjoyed the visit, we hadn,t been since 2000 and noticed a few changes. The space shttle ride was built up scary and I nearly changed my mind, but it was ok and we enjoyed it.We had a burger there and a drink of sprite that tasted like the swimming pool [sick]We left there at closing and went back to the villa
On Saturday we went to Clearwater beach, it took just over an hour to get there but what a lovely beach. It was about 90 and we stayed for about 2 hours. We parked on a meter but maybe next time we will find out where else to park. The sea was so warm but we were burning a bit.
Came home and in the evening we walked around downtown disney.
Sunday we did a bit of shopping, had to go to Calvin Klein on the orders of our daughter who really wanted to come with us. Gave the credit card a hammering then came home.
Monday we went to Epcot. I really love it here , it was really hot and went on the boat a couple of times to get about.First stop though was Soaring. We couldn't go on last year as the queue was 3 hours but we got there at 9 and went straight on, enjoyed it so much we went on again twice more! Then had a breakfast croissant which was quite nice. Of course it had to have cheese on like almost everything!
Bought some chocs in Germany and ate fish and chips in England-lovely. Went home after a huge ice cream worn out with the sun.
Tuesday we went to Millennium mall and went straight to cheescake factory for lunch and of course cheescake. Then we were stuffed[msntongue]Did some shopping then came home. Went to downtown disney in the evening.
Wednesday we went to Cocoa beach as the hurricane had passed. Another very hot day and the surf was very rough. I couldn,t sunbathe though after seeing the crabs on the -they are huge! I had to sit up watching in case they bit my toes!Of course I sat there and burnt my back!Don't think I would go there again- Clearwater is the favourite.Came back late after noon and chilled in the pool.
Thursdays weather didn,t look good so we decided to have our last disney day on Friday. But later the sun came out and we wished we went especially when we heard on the radio that Cypress gardens is $5 on every Friday in September! Never mind we went shopping and chilled aroun the pool, its lovely just to relax and do nothing.
Friday we went to Magic Kingdom, it was really hot and although it was ok, I think its really a place to go with kids.I don,t think we would go again We ate there- a nice grilled chicken sandwich and chips and went home in the afternoon. We wandered around downtown disney in the evening after packing[msnsad]
Got up early Saturday, stripped the bed and washed the sheets then put all the towells in to wash. Tidied up and left for the airport.
We had heard about XL on the friday from our son who rang us in case we had flown with them which we hadn,t. Then Gillian the villa owner rang in case we were flying with them. She said no one was booked in for 4 days and we could have stayed on free of charge if we were booked with XL. We were so impressed with that, how kind to offer, another good thing about renting from this site.
Anyway off to the airport and found our hand luggage was over the weight and had to jiggle the bags around a bit. The girl was very nice though said she wouldn,t count a change of clothes that were in our bags as it is cold back in the uk and didn,t count sweets so it wasn,t too bad. We did have 30kg of allowance but we couldn,t get anymore in our cases!( Must buy bigger cases)
Had a good flight home, would definately fly with Thomas Cook again even if we on went premium on the way home.
Hope this wasn,t too long and boring. I thi

Great report, thank you so much. Epcot is my favourite park, and Soarin is my favourite ride of all!! Although, we did Cypress Gardens for the first time last December, and I would certainly recommend it. It would be even better for $5.00!
