    Apple at it again!

It was only a matter of time I suppose......

BUT Apple have re-launched the Nano in a new design...
Yes a new shape very similar to the previous long slim design but its curved and auto rotates the screen like the touch.

Very nice looking, sleek and bigger capacity and a nice new price tag!!!

The new nano looks really nice. Luckily I'm not tempted (for once) as my iPhone 3G does everything the nano does and a whole lot more.

I'm really enjoying the new iTunes 8 though - the new Genius feature is spot on and comes up with some really good results. Spookily it seems to choose exactly the same kind of 'similar' tracks that I would choose myself, along with a few I've not heard of but like the sound of [msnsmile].

I've not tried iTunes 8 yet.

When I heard it had been released the Apple site was down, they were updating it, no doubt to show off the new nano and the new software.

Not a big fan of the iTunes software so hope this version is a big improvement!

When you say 'new Macbook' Chris do you mean new to you or a whole new design? There have been some suggestions that Apple will bring a new model out anytime now.

It will be new to Chris as no new MacBook's have been announced yet. It's likely any announcement (if and when it's made) will just be a bump in processor speed and not a complete re-design.

I am happy to defer to your greater knowledge of these things John and suspect you are probably right.

I am far from an expert but I was thinking of buying a Macbook and then read quite a few rumours that in Q4 2008 a new thinner and lighter (Macbook Air style) Macbook would be launched. I've just decided to hold off for a little while.

I've not heard that rumour myself and do follow the Apple rumour sites. The MacBook is a great laptop though (I've had one for about two years now and it's been perfect).

Having said that, you can never tell what Apple will come out with next as they are notoriously secretive about development and the rumour sites are just speculating and often get it wrong.

Could my patience, for once, have paid off? Looks like the intensifying rumours of a new Macbook(s)' launch might be true this time. Strong indications that an event will take place on 14 October which Apple are apparently titling "The Spotlight Turns to Notebooks".

    Fingers crossed here.

There's definitely an event on that date about their notebook range - the invites were sent out yesterday [msnsmile].
