    Japanese restaurant recomendations

Hi all, we'll be off to Davenport again end of April. I am looking for a Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant. Doesn't have to be too fancy but what we would like is one where the chef's make a bit of a show behind the hot plate so that our kids will be somewhat entertained. Any suggestions ? Thanks

We've been to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and Sushibar where the food is excellent and cooked at your table:

Teppanyaki comes from two Japanese words: "teppan" (table) and "yaki" (cook) - table cooking. The teppanyaki style of cooking evolved from the traditional Japanese Okonomiyaki style, which literally means "cook what you like." At Kobe, your teppanyaki chef cooks what you like, even if you're on a low-sodium or low-cholesterol diet.

Mind you, it's not exactly a cheap meal out.

Oh and don't forget there's Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot.

There is a Japanese restaurant at Berry Town Centre but not sure if it is one where the food is cooked at your table but I have heard it is good.

There's a Japanese restaurant in Celebration which is well worth a visit. Not that expensive and they do a sampler menu which is [msntongue] lovely.

There's a Teppanyaki Restaurant in Epcot around the Lagoon at Japan. You have to book in advance though as its very popular.
