My friends daughter is getting married and has requested cash as a gift; what is an appropriate amount?

I assume you are going to the wedding and the evening reception?
Depends how close of a friend she is to you,and if you known her daughter for a long time.
Think of it this way if your friends daughter, had a wedding list how much would you have spend on a present?

I would say anything from £75.00 /£100 upwards,depending on how much this friend means to you.
After all there are friends and special friends.
