shuttles out of west palm beach?

Hi guys, I am organizing a trip to Florida in about 2 weeks and will be staying in West Palm Beach! I am wondering about the shuttles that leave west palm beach and go to universal studios/disneyworld. are they frequent? where do they usually leave them? how much do they cost? is there a site where i can get all these details? i am pretty sure taxi will cost a bit too much for that ride!..

also, are the taxi fares in florida regulated? should all taxi companies be charging us the same price for the same trip?

    thanks!

    Hi Rho,

I've taken a look at the City of West Palm Beach website and I can find links to various forms of transport mentioned, greyhound buses, Amtrak etc but no mention of "shuttles" as such which isn't surprising with a travel time of around 3-4 hours from West Palm Beach to Orlando. I don't know about the costs involved as you would have to go onto the individual websites and put in your actual travel dates and times.

I would think a taxi would be very expensive. Does anyone in your party drive? I think hiring a car would be the more economical and convenient option.

I am thinking of taking the Amtrak now. It's about $26 one-way and that seems pretty good. Any downfalls to this transport?

No one in my party is of legal age to rent a car, unfortunately.

It may pay you do do deal with a taxi driver and offer him all of you fairs in one go. The trouble with amtrack is you will still have to get to and from the parks from the station. why not do a 2 center holiday? Palm beach is a nice area but not too much to do for 2 weeks.

I know it's to late for the poster but would it not be possible to book with a coach hire company that picks up from hotels etc?
