    Continental

Have just arrived in Orlando after our indirect flights with Continental and was suprised to be greated by seatback TV's.

This was on the old 757 aircraft they use between europe/ UK to New York routes. They must have had the new seatback TV systems installed in the past few weeks as they were very new from what I can see.

Could pause and had loads of films on as well.

We got them on the way home last month. Great surprise with loads of films to choose, I think they put them in as a money spinner though. You can play lots of gambling games either for free or by credit card which could be dangerous. I played for fun and had $20,000 in the bank when we neared landing and I wished I had entered my credit card ... alas its always easier when you have nothing to lose.

I too had a go at the casino games and was almost £1000 up at one point, only to gamble to lot on black as we landed. As you say it is always easier when it is free.

We prefer Continental, but on our previous flights they have only had the drop down TV,s and not seat backs. Thats something to look forward to.

I use Continental from Bristol 3 or 4 times a year and they are fine. I have not yet used a plane with back-seat screens but hope to in October. The overhead screens are pretty useless.

The cabin crew are generally fine if of the more mature age. Food is OK, nothing special. As it is a US airline alchohol doesn't play a big part but is available at $5/£3.

we flew from Cologne Bonn in germany, these planes are used on the UK - Newark routes so hopefully you will get one of these. I must admit I was suprised as all the reviews were for the older TV's.

service was good, meals ok (nothing to shout out about!), crew were really nice and could not do enough for Dillon and allowed him to crawl up and down the plane (He loved that!).

Hopefully you will have a good flight.

We flew with continental via newark (new york) on monday and it was the best and most easiest flight we have had in over 12 years of going to orlando
we flew from manchester on a boeing 757-200 which had just had the new on demand seat back tvs installed, there were over 20 films to watch, 50 full length albums to listen to, loads of tv programmes to watch and over 20 games with multiplayer to play any one else on the plane, even the connecting flight to orlando had the on demand aswel

Well we too also had a great experience and really enjoyed the stop over in Newark airport (allowed the little one time to crawl about and tire himself out for the next leg!). We were delayed by 20 mins and still managed to get through imigration and onto the next flight. It was a rush at times as we found the signs and guidance a little confusing, but once we asked we were fine.

Both flights were very good and meals were not too bad. Seat back TV's were a real bonus too. Looking at first class/ business class that looked like it needed a good upgrade as the seats looked a little worn, but to be honest economy was fine for us.
