A few weeks ago in the UK I was paying £1.20 (about $2.23) for a litre of petrol. Although it's now down to £1.14, I still wish we had the prices that the US has.

The trouble is I don't need gas as much as heating and my heating bills are about 4 plus times most peoples are in the UK..

Chrizzy100,I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm just saying that long term oil reserves are going to be a problem for everyone. Unfortunately, it's not an unlimited supply. I suspect the US manufacturers are trying to get rid before the wind blows in the other direction!

I already have my big SUV..its not new...but looks it..had 15 thousand miles on the clock at 9 years old...that is how much people drive around here...

I think we use just under $20 worth of gas a week...we use less gas then my neighbour in his over priced hybrd...

I think fuel prices should come down a little over the next year, but not to the old levels we were used to. we have been trying to sell our 4x4 and had all sorts of problems getting rid. People are all trading down.

Can't see the point in trading down unless you are in the market for a new car anyway...
