    New to Forum

    Hi all

    Great forum you have here.
Came to Florida(Orlando) 5 years ago and am planning to come again next May.
There will be 7 of us altogether 5 adults 2 children.

My granddaughter was only just over 2 when we came before but will be 8 this time so she will remember more of it. Grandson will be 4.

Im a keen fisherman but never got round to doing any last time BUT this time its going to be different.
Any tips on where, when or how to fish the lakes would be appreciated.

    John

Hi John, and welcome to the forum from sunny Florida!

May is a lovely time of year and the grandchildren are the perfect age for the 'magic'.

Some communities have lakes which allow fishing on a catch and release basis (my son has spent many hours catching a variety of fish of different sizes since we have been here).

    Have a wonderful time.

We have had guests successfully fish at Lake Louisa State Park which is on US27 in the Clermont area and whilst you are fishing the rest of the family can enjoy the rest of the park.

    Welcome to the forum.

Lake Toho and East Lake Toho are world famous for big mouth bass fishing.

You can access Lake Toho at Kissimmee Lakefront Park in the Historic Kissimmee district where there is a kids' play area, public BBQ and picnic facilities or at Boggy Creek Airboat rides at Southport on Poinciana Boulevard.

You can access East Lake Toho at the other Boggy Creek Airboat location or at St Cloud at Lakeside Park where there's a beach, marina, public BBQ and picnic area and a Crabby Bill's restaurant.

You'll need a fishing licence for anyone over 16 and you can obtain this from Wal-Mart or any fishing tackle shop - it's about $17.

Have a look at the fishing section here http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/forum_25.asp for loads more info.
