Sorry if this is obvious (been awake since 4.30 cos so excited as going tomorrow but tred now)butdo we sign tickets now or atthe gate? Thanks

It is mainly so you will know which ticket belongs to which person when you go into the parks, to ensure that the fingerprint scanner is tying the card and person together.
