Thread: missing cat

  1. #11
    Hi Carole,

I am glad that jill had the courage to say that, I know that is what exactly what happened to my Dad's twenty year old cat. he never came back. I hope that all turns out for you OK. The Vet said that is what cat's do.

    Finger's crossed.

Unfortunately this is what they do and it happened to three of our cats over the years. However, they didn't go far and found somewhere to curl up and go for a permanent sleep. All three were between 17 and 19 years of age. Try checking under bushes or in places where your cat can hide both in and outside the house.

    Carol ,
Sorry to hear about your cat , as a cat owner I can understand your concern.
I know your cat is a great age but they do become part of your family , what ever the outcome my thoughts are with you and your family .

Unfortunately we believe the same happened to our 19 year old cat
She disappeared one morning never to be seen again. We did look at all her usual haunts day after day,but never found her
I wasn't as brave as Jill to say this could be the reason your daughter's cat had gone missing.
Its the not knowing that is the biggest concern, even seven years later we still don't know what really did happen.

It is something I never got used to saying when people used to speak to me at the RSPCA as I used to feel their pain everytime someone used to ring up saying they had a missing pet. I know we would be desolate if our dog went missing. More than once I have ended up in tears while talking to people so it is no as easy as I made it sound.

I hope you find her soon she probably hasn't gone far and could be locked in a garage/shed so it's worth knocking on a few doors.
